In-House Analysis & Testing (IHAT)
June 2025 - August 2025
My work with the In House Analysis & Testing (iHAT) department broadened my skills in data collection and validation procedures, and gave countless opportunities for hands on work with Universal Orlando on their various attractions where I learned about the procedures for design, operation, and maintenance. During my summer internship I...

-
Wrote and executed validation test plans for strain gage, accelerometer, and thermal data collection on critical ride vehicle and show action components.
-
Predicted and evaluated static and dynamic loading conditions using FEA modeling and generated engineering reports with Dewesoft for project teams.
-
Applied transducer sensors to mechanical components on type 1 systems for roller coasters, dark rides, and show figures across Universal Orlando Resort.
-
Spliced, soldered, and rewired DB-9 connectors to route strain gage cabling through complex and high reach articulating mechanical components for testing.
-
Collected and evaluated Standard Amusement Ride Characterization acceleration data to verify ASTM dynamic compliance for rider experience and comfort.
-
Performed daily and long-term maintenance on roller coaster trains and attractions, including wheel wear pattern analysis and full train bogie alignments.
-
Assisted in exploratory test setups to understand the kinematic decomposition or liquefaction of polymer wheel compounds and improve maintenance longevity.
-
Coordinated document acquisition from ride and show engineering vendors and practiced project management skills to deliver technical feedback on findings.
-
Led testing investigations to diagnose failure modes by researching and implementing test setups and providing guidance for evidence-based solutions.
Experience
Technical Support Office
May 2024 - August 2024
As an intern with the US Zamperla Rides office, I assisted as a ride engineer to provide technical services for Zamperla's broad array of attractions across the US. During my internship I...

-
Analyzed engineering drawings and schematics to assist in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical ride control systems
-
Provided ride technical assistance to customers for cataloging and distributing documentation, type certifications, and service bulletins.
-
Modified PLC ladder logic programs using RSLogix5000 to update HMI display software on portable attractions for compliance with state amusement ride laws.
-
Liaised between international Zamperla offices and customers in the United States by cross referencing global design, fabrication and operation standards.
-
Tracked and managed international shipments and coordinated documentation across cargo containers and fabrication facilities with transportation companies.
-
Reviewed and delivered non-destructive testing schedules to maintenance teams.
-
Gained hands-on experience in annual ride vehicle inspection and reassembly.
-
Assisted in field work for ride adjustment, installation, commissioning and accelerometer strain gage testing to analyze ride structure performance.
Detections Division
June 2023 - August 2023
The detections division team at PSI had a well equipped workshop facility to fabricate and assemble their products. While working as an intern, I was able to learn and practice numerous engineering fabrication techniques as well as perform studies or drawings, culminating in a final project that involved an optimization study for the team. At PSI, I...

-
Designed and constructed portable electrical test equipment for neutron detectors.
-
Optimized AC/DC converter for thermal performance using SolidWorks simulations.
-
Drafted and reviewed mechanical CAD models and drawings for vehicle assembly.
Waterfront Sustainability
May 2021 - August 2021
As an volunteer member of the Summer Crew with the St. Mary's River Watershed Association, I spent my summer helping to improve and monitor the water quality of the St. Mary's River. With a team of three and my summer mentors, I...
-
Completed a case study on the oyster repopulation rates to improve healthy harvest practices for local watermen
-
Collected and analyzed water quality data to correlate key river health metrics with oyster reef concentration
-
Constructed and deployed over 400 concrete reef balls to replenish declining oyster populations in the St. Mary's River

Education
I completed a STEM program from elementary to high school in which I was taking accelerated courses, given exposure to real world opportunities in technical fields, and required to give a capstone presentation on a scientific research project completed during my SMRWA summer internship for my senior year at Great Mills.
I am currently working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University with classes focusing on manufacturing technique and automation, which I hope to use to find a career in theme park engineering and ride design.
